March 6, 2007 Board Meeting Agenda Item #21 Title APPROVAL OF SUPERINTENDENT'S FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR THE PERIOD ENDING JANUARY 31, 2007 Description The Superintendent's Financial Statement for the period ending January 31, 2007, indicates that the property taxes are still coming in at about 2.5% less than at the comparable time last year.  The 2.5% is the same as the rate was as of the December 31, 2006 report.  On March 1, 2007, the Sarasota County Tax Collector's office indicated that the same difference in the collection of property taxes has occurred through February.  There are no other unusual trends that have changed since the December 31, 2007 Superintendent's Financial Statement.   Recommendation That the Superintendent's Financial Statement for the period ending January 31, 2007, be accepted as presented.
